Still no luck

The park is still at capacity and I am afraid that due to factors including that I have a flight home in less than 20 hours I will be unable to re-enter the park.

Thank you for following my updates from Disneyland during One More Disney Day, I am gutted to be missing Fantasmic later on, but even without capacity being an issue there is little chance of me being able to honour my VIP seating.

Good night from Disneyland.

2220 update

Disneyland is still at capacity and rumour has it that soon no more tickets will be sold.

Tailbacks on the roads are also rumoured to be as far back as the highway.

WDW Midnight: The Witching Hour

No ifs, ands or buts about it… The park is crowded… But it’s a different type of crowd, where the wait for Space Mountain is only 45 minutes – half what it would be on a “busy” day – but the Peoplemover has an 8 minute wait, with the line extending beyond even the temporary queues that were hastily set up. That doesn’t sound like a long wait, but if you know anything about the Peoplemover, you’d know it to be an eternity.

It’s an energetic, upbeat crowd of Disney fans who made the pilgrimage for One More Disney Day in 2012, And I’m thrilled to be among them.

Here’s an instagram shot from earlier that has been called “epic”:

Six hours to go! Updates as the strained cell service allows.

Disneyland at Capacity

Update: The Disneyland PR dream have just tweeted that the park is at capacity.

Now we can expect serious wait times for certain attractions and dining options.

I will try to get back into the park shortly.

2100 update

Disneyland Park continues to become busier. When I just left the park for a while the queue at the ticket booths extended toward the bag check area.

I hope to return to the parks in an hour or two after a short break from the park to recharge my phone and wi-fi receiver. I should be back in the park by 11.00pm as long as I don’t fall asleep!

1945 Update

After the parade the park is now packed with wait times increasing to 60 minutes for certain rides that are popular with the guests.

My wifi is not adequate therefore the frequency of any further updates will be significantly reduced.

WDW 9:40 pm: Crowded?

By most accounts, the Magic Kingdom is gridlock at this hour, but that gridlock seems to be limited to Main Street USA and Tomorrowland. I’m in the far reaches of Adventureland and Frontierland and there are people but nothing close to gridlock.

Made my way back to the park, arriving just after 7:30 pm. It was just before the Wishes fireworks, so the hub and the prime viewing spots were packed. Found a spot in Liberty Square to watch.

Two Main Street Electrical Parades tonight – 10 and Midnight – so my prediction is the park will be all but clear except the die-hards by 1:30 am.
